Features

  • Multi-column file navigation.

  • Bookmark your favorite items to the Shelf for quick access.  Create as many Shelves as you want, each under its own tab.

Preferences

  • Choose the Browser column width.

  • Drag the Shelf out to the desired number of rows for more icon bookmarks.

  • Sort the contents of folders by name, type, size, or date. 

  • Group files and folders separately or mix them together. 

  • Show just the file names or the complete file details.

  • Choose whether dragging the mouse performs item selection, starts a drag and drop operation, or whether it depends on which direction you drag.

  • Filter displayed items using a wildcard string. 

  • Show or hide hidden and system files.

  • Specify custom icons for the folders and desktop.

  • Choose from up to four icon sizes, custom fonts and other display details.

  • Specify the default startup folder.

  • Choose a default text editor for editing files as text.

  • Choose whether or not to start WinBrowser automatically when Windows starts.

  • For a bit of nostalgia, you can make WinBrowser look like the original multi-column file manager on NeXTStep.
